Cant wait for this tomorrow in the RP. "he's very well, he's very well, he's very well, nice horse, got 4 legs, walks well, we like him". Whats the point? My as well make it up your self. I for one dont like AOB. You never know when they are trying IMO. You cant get a feel for any pattern with them. He aint Henry Cecil thats for sure.

I wonder which lovely stayers will have the speed to win a july cup
Report keynes1 April 18, 2010 10:24 PM BST
A sneak preview: "X is a nice horse we are fond of and how has great natural speed. He is working well at home and will come on for the run." Do people really have an appetite for this drivel?

Totally pointless thread.

Well, Olivia, listen, y'know, he's a nice horse, done everything we've asked of him at home, sure to come on for the run.

It is pointless soldier. Same as the tour of AOB stable is pointless.

interesting to countr the pieces of factual information that you

a) did n't know
b) could n't find out from other sources
Report Davy Jones April 18, 2010 10:36 PM BST

Is there anything ever worth reading in stable tours?
When they are asked to give a horse to follow or whatever, they come up with some exposed bit of junk.
Report dutchman April 18, 2010 10:41 PM BST
The rules are diffferent for AOB, its a team stable. Like gonegolfing only without the sand. They aint bothered which horse wins any race as long as its one of theirs. AOB would make a great politician. Talks a lot says nothing.
Report flushgordon April 18, 2010 10:44 PM BST
listen i cant say to much they all have to be sold as stallions later ,
Report dutchman April 18, 2010 10:45 PM BST
I agree Fawwon to a point. You get some who tell you as it is but most are just adverts for the stable.
Report ReaseHeath April 18, 2010 10:50 PM BST
going back to my earlier thread, why don't they provide a list of which of their horses have been gelded since last season? Now, that would be useful info.

Surely the greatest waste of news print of all time

The thing with Aidan is that you need to know when the money is down. A couple of years ago a friend overheard him say to an ol lad at the Curragh to "not forget the filly on Wednesday." After checking the Racing Post entries it turned out he mean't Sail which was due to run at Chester. The filly only won by half a length I seem to remember but was well backed, came in from early 7/2 to start at 9/4. The point about all that was that he would never be so specific in public. ........ it was fun telling friends and colleagues that day that I had a tip from Aidan O'Brien :-)
