Far too many questionable rides this season already in my opinion. I know full well the argument for Ballydoyle horses not being run for the benefit of punters, but there have been at least half a dozen occasions recently where a poor ride from Murtagh has meant a horse has not won a race it should have.

AOB's instructions might be unclear "Well ... ya know ... grand horse ... just ... ya know ... ride him"

Report lustrumm April 18, 2010 7:42 PM BST
Still schooling horses at the races with the sun splitting the stones at the end of April. They would not try that in England that is for sure

Another sackful of Groop Wons this season imo.

norn is bang on. There is a pattern with those beasts year after year, easy enough to follow if you pay attention. Murtagh is on a lot of big improvers who will win decent races later on. If you can't see it, then it's best to leave those races alone - it's your fundamental choice as a punter, and your greatest weapon when it comes to betting.

VUBRIANT . COUNTY DOWN , I NEVER DO JOCKEY BASHING 99% BUT DO CURSE FEW EVEN JOHNNY . WHY DONT PUNTERS LOOK AT FACTS AP OBRIEN KNOWS SEASON ENDS AT BREEDERS CUP IN NOVEMBER NOT AFTER WORSE WINTER EVER SNOW 2 WEEKS AGO HE HAS HORSES WORTH MILLIONS AND U DONT WIN CLASSICS IN APRIL WEN IMO HE WILL AN JOHNNY WIN AT LEAST 6 CLASSICS AS THEY BOTH SUPERB BUT IN JOHNNYS DEFENCE THE OWNERS & TRAINORS DICTATE HOW HARD HE HAS TOO BE ON ON HORSE ESP IN APRIL

PS YES I NEED caps LOCK :(

To give Ballydoyle their due they didn't send any of theirs over to contest the big money races that the arabs had recently because his horses aren't machines. It just wasn't practical to try & get them fit even though there was big money on offer. So why would they give them a hard first race with no prestige early in a season where we're only just getting over the winter weather?

Colm O'Donoghue threw the kitchen sink on a 1st time out Tabor runner....If September moon was given that ride it would have won.
