An 'off th wall' article about Scientists and Artists - who he compares to ...
Scientists = Serious, studious, Form Students.
Artists = Inherently lazy "chancers", whose method of looking at life is not based on any hard, well researched, facts.
He strongly hints that he is an 'Artist'.
At least he is honest with it.

His Scottish National selections and reasoning was speculative and creative!
Not a criticism as his assumptions were based on previous patterns and events and he would no doubt argue Montero was in process of running a big race before hitting the deck.

No coincidence, too - that his longest losing run, in fact shambolic losing run, came throughout the season that Reading were relegated from the Premiership.

There's a very snide undertone to your posts on this thread, Onlooker. His results speak for themselves, how he achieves them and what he does in his own time is up to him.

Pretty sure he watches plenty of racing and factors in his own "key" essentials for his selections (particularly favourite trainer).. :-)
does seem a bit disingenuous dont it, is the man not allowed to have a hobby?
Also he was heavily into Westwood Ante /Post for the masters nice pay check i think
he is very quick to stick up for these types, but on this ocassion he is right imo
he would be mad not to bet his selections then lay off for a free bet

He has a thing about a pattern of Irish horses potentially well treated in UK who come over because they'll benefit from better ground. In general, it has served him well for some time now.

bullsh1t calypso, now and again he comes up with a good priced winner and I'm not saying he's a bad tipster but I know I'm better than him for a start.

Remember that summer a few years back when he picked a winner on what was it, seven or eight consecutive Saturdays?
Amazingly during that same period he couldn't find a winner at the big midweek meetings for weeks on end . If memory serves me correctly there was a losing run of twenty odd selections, may have been more.
In fact I wonderered whether there was two different people putting up the selections.
