Also, kept the horse penned in for a bit too long coming around the bend.
You don't have to be an ex-jockey to see that he took a pull ffs.
JM has been dire this year imo getting into all sorts of trouble when he is riding off the pace. Rode a few good races up with the pace tho so Im starting to think he is becoming one dimensional

Fav had a lot of hard races last year and didn't seem to be mad about racing to me, Murtagh was probably trying to nurse him around a bit, one to be wary of. In any case the Weld horse should have won.

he was just educating and nursing the horse. didn't want to give it a hard time first time up. nothing new, he was doing the same last year, remember chester.
BRFC, I am not willing to speculate as to why, because I have no idea. It looked to me as if he did though, I could be wrong.
@ end of the day he could have won that without having to give the horse a hard race.

See my other post. He is the only Jockey who has managed to get a hore beaten my granny would have won on. Six Perfections in the irish gns . Same sort of ride.

i don't agree. horse didn't pick up straight away. defo needs further/stronger pace. i think O'Brien will be happy with that performance.

I don't think there's any doubt that O'brien will be pleased with the race.
jockey and trainer are happy with the run, punter gets shafted, has this happened before?
thought the horse spooked itself a bit when it came with the initial burst and did n't want to go through with it, then he righted himself and ran on again.

Not sure whether its prep races or what, but it is quite annoying when the best horse in the race doesn't win.
