these fox me every time - nowt in maiden runs and then romp home in hcaps... doesn't seem to matter if they have more or less weight on their backs.

any help much appreicated - ta

Unless you are at the track everytime and see the horses CONDITION in terms of behaviour and fitness you are simply guessing.

If there is a horse that is well entered up and is a strong fav ,then it doesn't really pay to try one's bowlocks off to finish 2nd to it ;)
