Why is there no more live video from RUK Tracks.

Surely this is a backward set for Betfair?

Following contract negotiations with Racing UK we will not be providing customers with access to Live Video from RUK tracks from today.

You can keep up with the live action from RUK tracks for free via Timeform Radio, which can be accessed via various buttons on the Betfair site.

The Live Video coverage from ATR tracks will continue as normal, which is a bet-to-watch service (£2 bet minimum). In addition, we also have racing action from the USA and South Africa, which is all free to watch for Betfair customers.

Betfair probably cant afford it.

Betfair probably don't want to afford it ... they are moving into maximising profit territory at all costs ...

Premium charge (I wish) etc and their non stop desire to get horse racing punters into the casino with the meagerest of incentives.

This is cyclical - they will not be listening to anybody as they see themseklves as invincible - but they are now totally inward looking - mianly at their balancesheet.

I suspect that in 10 years Betfair won't exist a massive coorporation such as ladcrookes will see that 5% for doing f-all is worth pumping a load of liquidity into a market.

at the moment - betfair can make so much more than just commission and they will not stop until every punter has been fleeced of their cash.

Remember they are taking money of relatively intelligent people of which there isn't an infinite supply ... the rest buy scratch card FOBT's etc ...
