He doesn't actuallyl have the form to win this but If CAPTAIN CHRIS is as good as they think he is, he should win this, distance & going no problem, looks all potential,
PEPE SIMO loves good ground over 2m & back in novice company, so has outstanding claims but was beaten last time by a hobbs horse (quaspal) so you would think Hobbs knows where he stands with this one.
SPRING JIM Ran a blinder a cheltenham behind another Hobbs horse (Menorah), so another with serious claims, again, you would think Hobbs knows where he stands with this one.
SALDEN LICHT Has raced & won on soft ground, it might be too quick for this one
For me the bet has to be CAPTAIN CHRIS, not very original but with Hobbs having a line through a couple of these & the stable is flying, makes sense to me.
Looks a trappy race but if i had to pick one Captain Chris would be the one..Its looked a real beast in its last 2 runs and at around 2/1 that could be made to look real juicy come the end of the race..

as good as the horse has looked, all three runs so far have come at kempton, and as a rule i wouldnt be backing a horse at 2/1 against a decent field first time up at cheltenham. wouldnt lay it on the other hand, so will be looking for e/w shot. gl
