Oh terrific. There will be hundreds of subscribers like me and the original poster who normally record it in the morning who are now screwed and won't have a recording of day one of the Craven meeting.
By:
i know, cant belive they arent going to show another replay ever of that meeting
By:
its been on a loop for the last 12 hours :(
By:
Unfortunately darkroom its not the first time they have done this,i called them once and all i got was that i should have recorded it earlier.
By:
oor wullie, note to self - before bed press record all done then for when you get up,
imo |
By:
PS if you want the tape, I'll send you it.
By:
That may be the case delta but i do all my recording in the morning and it goes without saying that if i had known that the breeze ups were on then i would have recorded it earlier
By:
Do you have it on disc delta?
By:
I'm not that modern, whilst the video still works it goes on there :-)
By:
Thanks anyway delta i store all my replays on a hard drive so it would have to be on disc.

Zoozee i have just seen your sarcastic reply,i do take the game seriously i am afraid, well i have to as it has been my only source of income for the past 20 years.

i know, cant belive they arent going to show another replay ever of that meeting Tell me when, now please, so I can set my DVD recorder and not miss it next time. The whole meeting please, not just the odd replay of the final 100 yards. Anyone who didn't set their video before 7am this morning appears to have missed the full replay of one of the most important meetings of the year. |
By:
its the lowest form of wit, but ive been up since 6 looking for entries.
The replays isnt serious though is it ? since its a 1.03 shot to be replayed loads of times in the next few days. If you need a time surely a quick e-mail to them would suffice than dramaitising things on here ? |
By:
Why don't you just watch the replays on the racing post site? They are of sufficient quality.
By:
Video :^0
By:
I would back 1.03 that the full replay from wednesday will not be replayed, and i am so very very sorry if i have been that word that you cant spell, but watching replays is the life blood of what i do so when i miss them i do get annoyed.
By:
Sweep toast i attempt wherever possible to take sectional times from the meeting so a slow frame player on my laptop is essential,to my knowledge you cant do this with any of the replays shown by the post or indeed atr.
By:
Fair enough.
By:
Yesterday, they showed Ponte replays again after the Breeze-ups finished imo
By:
Thanks for that duncan that could be helpful, does anyone know what time the breeze-ups will finish?
By:
there was 80 lots to show and theylve done 30 already. So probaly another hour at most.
A few iffy head carrdges on the fast grond to go in the notebook watchingt these breeze ups. |
By:
Thats funny zoozee, you are now officially my best pal,l good luck.
By:
Delta, you want to get yourself setup to record the replays onto your hard drive. It's a doddle and once setup you will wonder how the hell you ever managed without it! Nowadays with hard disks so cheap it is no problem at all to record in at least vhs quality.
By:
how long is your vid libraray muqbil ?
And i aint forgot i was gonna have that chat with you, just things have taken a very different course after a national fiasco in Koo Towers. |
By:
Each time I buy a new hard drive, I increase the quality I record at. This current flat season will probably take up around 400 gig. My earlier years 2001, 2002 take up around 100 gig. Ideally I would record in dvd quality but it still takes up a lot of space. Played back via the tv my videos now are almost normal tv quality which is totally acceptable.
I hope things are not too bad m8. Any time, I rarely go anywhere!! |
By:
i bet u dont record the NH game :(
By:
its rods goodwood beano on now!
By:
Replays coming up again in a couple of minutes then?
By:
I don't record nh stuff, would take prob 3X more disk space.
By:
Lets hope so :)

jesus christ......RUK just cannot win with some of you losers, they get constant criticism for showing nothing but endless replays for hours on end, and on the rare occasion they do a bonus live broadcast of the breeze-ups and still people complain, Craven meeting replays were shown all last night and early this morn, plus you can watch them online at Racing Post and Sporting life ffs, some people seriously need to get a life on here.
By:
Calm down blakey. What makes you think the people concerned about the replays on this thread are the same people who moan about them being shown all the time? It was the concern that those of us accustomed to recording them at the usual time each day might have missed them without warning that started this thread, happily it has proved a false alarm; there is also the factor that many people closely connected to RUK would have read this thread, too.

By:
excuse my ignorance, Muqbil, but if you have an entire season on hard drive, how easy is it to locate the exact race you want to watch/ (i'm sure the answer is 'simples' but just trying to get an understanding, as i dont watch much other telly and am still a video boy for racing!). Cheers
By:
duncan, my setup is similar to the rp or other form sites where clicking a link in my db for a race will show the video. You could easily setup something similar in excel where you select the date/ time of race in a column, click a link and it plays the video.
By:
Cheers Muqbil. I have absolutely no idea how you would click a link on an Excel spreadsheet to play a video so may have to get back to you at some point if i get that far! My use of spreadsheets is pretty basic at the mo.
