When's he going to congratulate Holty for tipping it up?

I sense a Hugh Taylor tipping angle may be upon us: horses who were trained by Jonathan Geake...

onlooker, did you notice Hollins's new handicap mark after finishing 11th in the Supreme Novices Hurdle?

Yes, GEORGE - But it ties in totally with their assessment of the race - as below.
I can see where they get the figure from - it happens in these type of races year in year out - but is always open to some question, as many such 'sufferers' often fail to run to these marks subsequently.... On the other hand - it was beaten only 14 lengths. :) The Official handicapper has taken the view the the runner-up Get Me Out Of Here ran exactly to it's mark of 150, having been raised 15 lb for previously winning the valuable Totesport Trophy Handicap at Newbury. 1 Menorah ............. pre-race .. 147 now 151 2 - Head - Get Me Out Of Here .... 150 .. 150 3 - 1.3/4 - Dunguib .................... 156 .. Irish 4 - 2 lengths - Oscar Whiskey ........ 138 - 146 5 - 6l - Flat Out ............................ Irish 6 - 2.1/2 - Spring Jim ................. none - 137 7 - 1/2l - Fiulin ......................... none - none 8 - neck - Vini Griego ................. 138 - 135 9 - 1/2l - Far Away So Close ............. Irish 10 - neck - Blachstairsmountain ......... Irish 11 - neck - HOLLINS .................. 116 - 134 12 - 3/1/2 - Dan Breen ................ none - none 13 - 4l - Dream Esteem ................ 114 - 119 |

Thanks, onlooker.
When I noticed its raised mark, I remembered your famous thread about Diavoleria and how Easterby had **ed up" its mark. Hollins may not now be able to win a handicap, but at least they had a good day out at the festival! |

Interestingly - DUNGUIB has been taken off the Irish Official Ratings list -
whilst there are No ratings published for the other Irish runners in the result above, either. ;) |
