first thing ive ever heard you say thats probably correct

Well observed MT, indeed there are 19 runners carrying 11-0 or more in the 2010 renewal.
But Mon Mome smashed this stat when he won last year, but you think it will be smashed again? |
By:
WAS IT OVER 11?
By:
mm 11st last year
By:
It carried exactly 11-0.
But you've included horses carrying 11-0 in your 19/40 stat? |
By:
OK WELL I MEAN OVER 11 NOT 11
By:
OK WEL NOT QUITE 19
By:
You will need to re-conduct your analysis so MT.....
How many horses on 11-01 or over, I make it 15/40? |

By:
2009 Mon Mome 9 11-0
2008 Comply Or Die 9 10-9 2007 Silver Birch 10 10-6 2006 Numbersixvalverde 10 10-8 2005 Hedgehunter 9 11-1 |
By:
But Hedgehunter won off 11-01 in 2006?
Think you might have to refine your trends a little bit more, MT? |
By:
The winner will come from horses 11st or under. Also look at winners over 3 miles, have won a high class hcap, in a field of 14 or more and over 9-10yo. Last 5 winners fit that criteria as well as Rough Quest, Bobbyjo and Earth Summit since 96. So Character Building and State Of Play have the best chance. If you exclude age then Arbor Supreme and Irish raptor and the main dangers.

MT THANKS FOR PUTTING A LINE THROUGH ALL THOSE RUNNERS

SPOT ON

So trends don't always work. Any one who thinks they work every year is an idiot. My research tells me that trends put the odds in your favor if you don't go against them with out good reason. It pays to play the percentages.

BBJ this also applies to the World Cup. ALL the facts have to be taken in to account . Not just recent form.recent form is only one factor when pricing up an event. An important factor, but only one of many.
