Ok I didn't back this 33/1 shot. Was tempted to go in for it in the place market but put off by the rather alarming drift.

Later on I watched the archive coverage and, well, rather than say what I thought, let me copy and paste the comments in running from the R Post;

"
Rasced wide in rear, headway after 5th, disputed 2nd 3 out, not hard pushed next, still 3rd at last, no extra (op 28-1)"

Take a look. How much longer ....

I didn't have a bet in the race either, but did notice the running of this horse.

I believe what you are trying to say is....

" Andrew Thornton is a ** joke "

That was as bad as anything i've seen, which is certainly saying something.

Totally inept.

As my post about it yesterday only received 5 replies, one can assume all and sundry was scurrying about looking for their likkle black books...

Guinness I was away from my PC when you wrote but reviewed the action late last night and was sufficiently impressed by the jockey's reluctance for his horse to make the frame to pass comment on the forum

Yes it's one for the black book but pity the people who chose to back it yesterday. Their money was done long before the off

I'd check the jockey booking before going in next time, as he is absolutely abysmal.

Most jockeys are under orders ! 2 blatant non tryers yesterday..S.kelly and S whitworth. If you check a lot of jockey rides , this happens all the time. The skill of a jockey now has to include how to make a horse look bad. Even thr great T Mccoy does it, tends to make a horse look worse than it is before it hacks up (but not by too much though). They're all (jocks and trainers) laughing at the average punter throwing thier money away. they think it keeps the class divide and they think they are so much better than the average man.

perhaps it pulled too hard early or used up it's energy making up the ground. Don't forget the winner came there looking very well but was hard work at the finish.

i listened to the WH comms online at work. The commentator said more than once in the very early stages that it looked as if the tack had broken and the jockey was trying to pull it up!

A race for the notebook. Jonathan Neesom after the race in not so many words said there were any amount of horses in mid div that had been 'tenderly ridden'.
Annoying I know but as long as we can take advantage somewhere along the line.

Same trainer / jockey combo on Roman Conqueror in the 345 Kemp. Might have been tempted into a small place interest in this one but after yesterday ....
