Just thought i would update you guys, especially cricketer, jimnast, stan2, sageform guiness2dear and dunstall park snooper who were all good enough to respond to my post in Feb asking for thoughts on the 2 south west tracks.
We combined a holiday with racing and sadly the races were off at newton a but thankfully taunton went ahead. We loved the track, atmosphere and the general feel of taunton. We witnessed the crazy goings on at the last hurdle, with 2 short price favs -very unusual !!!
All in all glad we travelled from Scotland and savoured racing in south west A track to be proud off and one we hope to visit again in the future
thanks to the guys on the forum for providing informed and helpful info in advance which helped us enjoy our day
Its the friendliest track in england, best vibe, no frills, well run with the best viewing by a mile, if you know where to go obviously.
Unsurprisingly its not owned by a chain company, its good value too
