Several firms. Notably VicC, Corrall, Boilsports. Maybe P Power too.

According to Ladcrooks King Johns Castle refused at 1st... that's ok then but I could of sworn he refused to race, 20 years of betting and I got it wrong, thank you Ladcrooks for setting the record straight

that's a b*stard if coral did - i backed several runners including the winner and KJC on one ticket, cashed it shortly after the race and they only paid out the winner :-(

Off Coral Website

Coral have taken the decision to refund day-of-race stakes on King John's Castle following his refusal to race at the start of this afternoon's Grand National.

"The Grand National is a unique event with millions of people having their only bets of the year, and under the circumstances it seems fair and reasonable to give backers of King John's Castle their money back", said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.

"It's been a dreadful Grand National for bookmakers so giving punters back a bit more cash won't make a huge difference", added Clare

What thread is this on please?

Just had a browse and nothing to be seen.

I had my bet with B Fred and went in today assuming I would get my wedge back to have some toffee nosed cow say it was classed as a runner, told her to f*** it and went to Hills.

Won't be going there again.

Definitely was under orders.

Guess they decided a bit of good PR was needed after cutting the prices on all the horses just before the off.

**z.

Have a look at it on youtube, they'd given up on KJC, the starter should have declared it withdrawn before sending the rest off.

Racing Post and Sporting Life record it as Refused to Race (RR), but I don't see what difference it makes to settlement if Ladbrokes have it as a Refused fence.
