There was AP in his little bubble with all the journo's on the gravy train telling him he's the greatest ever - but Tom spelt out the TRUTH to him.

It evidently touched a nerve and AP rode like a man possessed to the win the Grand National.

If Tom hadn't told AP why he wasn't in his top 5 jump jockeys, AP would never have won the National - FACT.

in all fairness ive been a massive fan of AP since he started but some of his efforts first half of season have not been up to his standards, the turning point for me was a ride he gave a quirky customer in a chase at newbury and his efforts in the midlands national fully restored him to hero status in my eyes again.

Sir Tom ? "You can't handle the truth!" yep, good tipster but miles off the mark with Sir AP McCoy wish he'd just admit one day

You could well be right.
After reading the Racing Post on Good Friday it seems Sea The Stars was only any good after Tom Seagull "unearthed" him on the same day in 2009.
