i've**ged him off a few times this year for some poor (imo) rides but credit today for a fantastic ride

conna castle taking him on probably affected the race more.

The mistake would have taken a lot out of - what by then was - a tired horse

watch the race again ffs schoolboy error at the canal turn and bad mistake at the 3rd last cost it the race

Was giving DPI weight - that was the diff IMO

gave it at least 7 lenghs at the canal turn and another 3 at the 3rd last .

change the jocks and you have a diff winner.

watching on the bbc site the canal looks ok but from the blip he you could really see him having to stop the horse and get it turned like a showjumper ,this after really booting it into the fence was a misteake and i am sure he will admit it ,the mistake was probably just horse error but canal was its undoing and if you get the chance to see it from the blip its very clear but looks nothing from the other camera
