Lost on the race, no doubt. Made a profit when you consider the other revenue for the Bookies like football and FOBTs, which are bigger business than horse racing and generate greater revenue on all days other than National day.

bookies cant lose much on this race whatever the result & with the placed horses all shortish prices,i reckon they won on the race,its a public relations day for the bookies in general & what a way to treat the public,by returning a horse at 10-1 when at 6 points bigger were available,disgraceful.

all over,the placed horses were the best the bookies could have had,think about it,most of the placed horses would have been win only.

the one thing i will agree on is the s.p was a **g disgrace

even if that was the case,the places were only 4-1 minus their win stake,as i said great places for the bookies
