was made a freeman of Ireland after the race , was English before and during
By:
Yeah, it says Irish on betfair and every other website.
By:
Oh for Christ's sake.
It's Irish bred. It's owned by an Irishman. It's trained by an Irishman. It's ridden by an Irishman. But it's trained at an ENGLISH F&CK1NG STABLES FOR F&CK5 SAKE, SO NO, NO, NO, NO, IT DOESN'T F%CK1NG COUNT AS AN IRISH TRAINED WINNER. Give me strength. |
By:
In case you're still not sure mate. By "Irish" it has to be trained in Ireland. IRE after the horse's name refers to where it was bred. Sure the rules must have stated that point?

Jackdaws Castle is set in 500 acres of countryside in the Cotswolds and we have over three miles of horse walks within the estate - if you have really good bins and get a very high ladder and look to the west can you see Ireland iyo ?

In racing terms "Irish" means Irish trained while "UK" means British trained. Confusingly, horses trained in Northern Ireland are deemed Irish as well. If it doesn't state that the country refers to where it is being trained, you might have a case, although I would have thought it would have made this point clear. Challenge Bfair for an adjudication.
Presumambly, most of the 40 runners were Irish bred? Tommy, by "Irish", what were you thinking it was? |
By:
It simply said Irish horse. Not much point challenging for the money, not worth the hassle, just thought I'd stress the point though and see if anyone else had been screwed over.
By:
I don't think you have been screwed over - really can't see how you could seriously think it didn't apply to where it was trained
