the package is being backed abit

started at 19.0, into 13.5.

7yo ??

Madness - I hope it drifts like a barge at the track tomorrow!

Obviously a tipping service, Timeform, someone mentioned, fancy it!!

Thats why it has been hit so heavy.

LEMMINGS!!

If it is such a sure thing, why has Timmy Murphy got off it??

The Package to go off fav tomorrow IMO - great chance despite 7 year old stats, how many 7 year olds have run in it over the years, not , many hence bad stats

I suspect it is Arber Supreme - nice ironic selection from the Sea Gull.

There have been 35 six and seven year old which have run in the National since 1994 and
the best they've been able to do is 6th last year with "Big Fella Thanks" with only 6
of the 35 actually finishing.

I don't think it's just that they're rags more likely inexperience.
If we just look at the ones which were 25/1 or less rather than the rags than:

RaceDate Age SP FinPos HorseName
09-Apr-94 7 16/1 BD Young Hustler
10-Apr-99 7 10/1 F Eudipe (FR)
07-Apr-01 7 25/1 UR Spanish Main (IRE)

03-Apr-04 7 18/1 UR Shardam (IRE)
03-Apr-04 7 10/1 F Jurancon II (FR)
09-Apr-05 7 25/1 UR Double Honour (FR)
04-Apr-09 7 14/1 6 Big Fella Thanks

Still only a single finisher - who happens to be this years fav - now an 8yo

Martin, I admit they have a terrible record but it may not be as bad as it seems thats all I'm getting at.
Re the original list - its quite frightening how many of them were Pipe horses!
I actually don't particularly fancy either of the 7yo market leaders but I would give an ew squeak to Palypso de Creek. He's been running over fences since he was a 3yo so in 'horsey' years he is a 8 or 9yo lol

He went for cloudy lane in the national at 50/1 and I think he tipped Black Apalachi.
