you could walk down the street with no fear fear of:- being stabbed by a different crew innit you didnt need to ultra padlock your front door you could speak in un-PC terms and merely say its banter you never'disrespected' anyone london(my hometown) was a great place to live or visist we had white city greyhound stadiium take me back there please |

It would be easier for a lot of people to make it pay going back to 1970 even given the more stringent trading terms (and I don't mean via a 'Back to the Future' type almanac either).
Those who know what prices should be as opposed to those that are good at following the machine, spotting anomalies, etc. |

Don - The bookies didn't 'have their card marked' by Betfair in 1970.
You could get 100/7 about a 5/1 chance - [b]all morning long[/b[ by touring the shops , as it took them forever to change the prices .... Just as long as you knew how much to stake to stay underthe 'talke-out' before they had to refer the bet - which was a rarity in those days. ;) |
