remember going to national in 1988 and been shocked by people shouting for horses to fall , never went back to the national meeting but go to november meet .

Noticed yesterday that when a couple of horses fell (Imperial Commander and Hey Big Spender) there did seem far more cheering than you would normally have expected (from bookies with big liabilities).
Either the BBC mic's are closer to the crowd/bookies or it's something rather more unpleasant. |
