Still a long way to go to catch the keights of incompetance of the fella with the gruff voice who did the coverage on the radio for the BBC in the 70s and 80s........I used to hate him but his most incompetant commentarry was towards the end of his carreer......cant remember the horses names but I think it was an a Royal Ascot race..........the closing stages went something like,(numbers instaed of names).........1 well clear and cant be caught..........into the last 100yds and 1 is weakening and 2 gets up to beat it on the line with 3 3rd and 4 4th............slight pause and then casualy anounces its a photo ? 3 mins later and the result is 1st horse 8 2nd horse 9 3rd horse 10.............no explanation that was it ?

I backed Menorah and would have won if McGrath hadn't said it was going to. It is all his fault.

Why shouldnt I complain about it,I have to pay my licence fee,and I expect a good service for my money.The sports service on BBC is is abismal,they are a bunch of amateurs compared to Sky.
