who you bet with, towards the parade ring you will find gus oppenhein who likes to prey on first time racegoers,he does not display his place terms {rules are you are meant to but nobody enforces it }your ticket will show you the correct place terms but when you go to collect you will be paid at reduced terms, when you pull him over it he blames the clerk,of course many once a year punters dont know the difference so he gets away with it most of the time.

there will off course be many decent hardworking bookmakers there who will not **.

If is the same guy who use to operate the same way at Haydock he must be conservatively 85 years old as regards a flimper he use to put Lukeheart in the shade.

gene he bet without on that race, bet to around 160,as it happens i dont have a problem with that as the prices are there to see, what is wrong is the blatent kheating of punters which is what he did with my daughter yesterday, and then laughed when i pulled him and told him i would report him to the gambling commision and the ring officials.

if i could have placed each way bets on the first race yesterday i would have been lumping on at 1/6 the odds a place , offices at 1/5 lower win odds from the show and no chance of getting a bet on .

I find the board prices for the Grand National itself are pretty awful on course, surely this is a bigger problem with an unsuspecting public? This may be the big firms shortening SPs but still it's wrong.

Gus O ( the Father) was shown up by John McCrick, at uttoxeter, a few years ago.
