I recently upgraded to the latest version of Firefox, 3.6.3

Where as I've had no issues with older versions I've noticed that this version slowly eats up more and more memory the longer it is in use. Not only that, even after the application closes, the process still runs in the background eating up more memory and using 50% of the CPU.

Have I got a rogue, bug laden copy or is this normal?

If I've used Firefox and closed it. When I come to open it again it sometimes tells me that it is already running and the process would have to be terminated before I can start using it again.

Any help with this would be most welcome.

Good morning Loper.

It is usual, Firefox for me is excruciatingly slow and very crash prone.

I would recommend switching to Google Chrome.

Good morning, STV.

Can you use Betfair Refresh with Chrome?

There is a refresh button, yes.

No, not a button, an automatic refresh that you can set to update at a rate of your own choosing.

I'm aware of how to close it. But why does it happen in the first place and how can you solve it on a permanent basis?
