I know many of you bad mouth every thing that moves on racing television, because many of you go off one one after losing. However, to many of us who are disciplined enough to keep control of our senses(i've had a shocker of a day and not blamed anyone) people like Boycie are worth listening to. I noticed he has a new blog, and he would probably appreciate the hits to get it off the ground. I've never understood why so many of you get so worked up about people at times. It's almost as if someone of you have no grasp on reality.
These are the kind of posts i'm talking about. I put up someones link, and all i get is criticism. This is probably why this forum attracts nobody of note.

What is the correlation between Boycie having a new Blog - and people having, "no sense of reality" ?
Well, I could answer that somewhat sarcastically, I suppose.

I say it because, almost every racing personality in the UK gets an absolute slaughtering on here, along with anyone else connected to racing. Therefore, anyone interacting with any media racing presenter should remember he's no an axe murderer, gun runner, slave enforcer or cult leader. They are just people with an opinion like the rest of us. In other words try acting like civilised being if you register, like i have done.

Why would I want to read, or know, what Boycie has to say? - or any other of those 'nobody bloggers' on racingpost, and elsewhere, etc.
Why would he, or they, be any more knowledgeable than I am?
He is a television presenter, spending hours in front of a camera.
I spend many more hours than he does trawling through the cards and the form, and coming to my own conclusions ..... as opposed to just reading the Racing Post Spotlight between races.
I don't need, or want, to know how many times Denman or Kauto Star farted last week - it is all inconsequential c rap ...
if you will excuse the pun.

Onlooker, i never said you would want to read it. It's for people who are interested in reading other people blogs, and perhaps getting a few different angles on things. Not all of us are completely clued up.

Boycie was spending a day on the Ben Johnson joint at Southwell in the course of doing research on the mechanics of making a book for a future article on betting he is preparing for his blog.
I agree with the O.P., btw, .............. the blog is to be welcomed as a genuine effort to inter-react and communicate with us fans of the racing game. Well done to him. It's a professionally done effort that surely takes a bit of time. He doesn't have to do it; nor does he get paid for it. Don't diss it, fella's, until you check it out. :)

I will glance at it, but I think it highly unlikely that he would say anything to jeopardise hie position at ATR, and consequently it will shy away from interesting comment. I don't care for his selections for the reasons onlooker outlines

Just had a look at this.... actually very good. Pomme Tiepy looks interesting. We should be more supportive of people who love racing. Give the man a chance.
