dont think it was giving its Gold Cup running today, even before it fell. Just my opinion. Controversial, i know
when do gold cup winners or even cheltenham winners run well at aintree. ic's run today reminded me of denman here last year. he just looked tired.

no to be fair i was left with a sour taste in my mouth when imperial commander won the gold cup . he wouldnt have stayed in the gold cup if they went that pace in the gold cup regardless of how he jumped
Why do people have to use such inane language. There may be a point about the first 2 in the market running below par but to say the horse is the worst ever winner is just ridiculous.

Swinstar- take it you know absolutely nothing about racing? Nigel has made a massive error in running the horse, refusing to listen to the facts that the horse always runs best fresh but at least he didn't shy away from the challenge - where are Kauto and Denman today? In their boxes as conditions wouldn't suit them today just as they didn't suit IC. When IC has his perfect preparation for next years GC and runs like a drain THEN you can say the horse is dog
WR Imperial Commander is a great horse after a break and at Cheltenham - after the GC I couldn't lay it (sentiment) but never a realistic winner - I don't normally bite but this pr1ck's been on here 10 minutes, posts in shouting caps - I hate the forum in the school hols - I'll e-mail my thoughts on next week

Swinstar... the way you are going about it is wrong, but your actual opinion is correct. It was a sub standard Gold Cup. IC rating is way too high and I'll be surprised if he wins another big race.( ie Gold Cup / Betfair Chase or King George).
But on the day he did win the Gold Cup and hats off to the horse. He can only beat what's infront of him. But by no means is he a superstar.

good around chelts even though doubt it will win it again.other tracks suspect just look at its laughable showing at punch after chelts last year.stupid running it so soon here but have done great 2 get a gold cup outa it all the same
To give it such a high rating based on the Gold Cup is ridiculous. It seems that in recent times the handicapper goes a bit loopy over any performance that is half decent.
