a few weeks in an I am already disillusioned with the flat, have had three decent bets today, first two fast finishing seconds when seeming to be given too much to do, and now this farce in the 8pm. Rag allowed a soft lead - despite a few former front runners in the field. It isn't just these relatively small fields, the big handicap at Kempton on saturday had 4 front runners in the field, one gets withdrawn and the race is run at a crawl, front four after 3 furlongs finish in the first five. Great for IR punters - but for those of us with a job, a family and a life outside betting a nightmare
