Ran into one if you ask me, picked everything else up easy enough.

There was no need to sit 15l off the pace in ground on which not a single horse has managed to make up ground today.
Comments in running of todays winners : 1) broke well, made virtually all, ridden over 2f out, clear inside final furlong, ran on well opened 14/1 touched 16/1 2)made all, ridden and joined entering final furlong, driven out opened 16/1 3)held up, headway 2f out, switched left over 1f out, led inside final furlong, ran on well, readily (Frank!!) 2nd:narrow lead over 1f, remained close up, led over 1f out, soon ridden, headed inside final furlong, not pace of winner opened 10/1 touched 7/1 4)led early, pressed leader, led 3f out, edged right from 2f out, soon ridden, ran on well, eased towards finish opened 7/4 touched 11/8 £700-£400 5)tracked leaders, led over 2f out, soon clear, heavily eased well inside final furlong touched 6/4 Just a very poorly judged ride on a horse who had plenty in hand. He does claim (5) but I wont be backing him again. |
