Look on the bright side. When the RP Site comes back online after an "upgrade",is it going to cost you money?
Report RyanWe April 6, 2010 10:18 PM BST
Does anyone even notice the upgrades though? All I seem to notice is more advertisements. Site works rubbish on Firefox too, most of the time when you click a horse you have to reload it.. also on normal internet explorer it used to freeze when clicking a horse. Probably still does, not tried it in ages. Anyway simply put.. it's shocking.

Racingpost.com will be unavailable from 10pm on Tuesday, April 6 until 3am on Wednesday, April 7 for site upgrades. Apologies for any inconvenience caused

Report ben10 April 6, 2010 10:27 PM BST
Ryan, I emailed them about that, they always pretend they've never heard of the problem before and their solution was to clear my cache, does that ever work?
Report protopete April 6, 2010 10:31 PM BST
I don't bother anymore with the RP site ............ATR is as good and free .........RP want to charge for everything , don't mind buying the paper but not going to be shafted twice ...

Greedy fckers ....

Yes, it does still freeze sometimes with IE now you mention it.

I usually pop off and make a cup of tea until it decides to unfreeze itself, which is usually around two or three minutes.

Actually, you could boil an egg too if feeling peckish.

That's working if it's any use.

I usually put a pan of potatoes on, to simmer for 20 minutes, bluebook - just to be on the safe side.

Just froze when I tried to bring up the form of Radiator Rooney.

I'm now enjoying a full English... .

little tip , put the following in your hosts file :

127.0.0.200 www.skyvegas.com
127.0.0.201 www.skybet.com
127.0.0.202 dd.connextra.com
127.0.0.203 peach.bskyb.com
127.0.0.204 ff.connextra.com
127.0.0.205 adserver.adtech.de

stops most adverts loading on sportinglife / attheraces and racingpost and speeds things up no end.

don't put the sky ones in if you actually use em though as its basically telling it load the data from your local machine which obviously fails.
