By:

|
|
By:
yer he means ruby walsh who has won more grade 1s than mccoys had dinners in last 2 years
|
|

That one being lined up for a handicap on decent ground imo, at Punchestown in all likelihood.
|
|
By:
strange ride there will they pull him in
|
|
By:
nope...I was talking about AP on Kandari. I just dont rate him as a jockey. I think he is excellent in a finish, but tactically not very good and not very good at producing a horse at a fence...........but at the same time I think the ride on Wichita Lineman is one of the best I have seen.

He is the greatest jockey to ever grace a racecourse.
Stop talking through your pocket you bunch of mugs. |

He is the greatest jockey to ever grace a racecourse. Well said m8, anybody who doesn't realise that by now, SHOULD GIVE THE GAME UP - NO HOPE!! |
|
By:
He wins most of his races in midweek riding the better horses against many jockeys who dont their a*se from their elbow. I 100% agree that after the last fence, in a finish you want no other jockey on your horse...but what about the previous 95% of the race.

never heard such nonsense

By:
Absolute proof as to why 98% of Bf users lose money.

Some mugs on here obviously didn't watch him ride Albertas Run, Binocular and Denman at Cheltenham.
"Can't produce a horse at a fence" - I've never heard so much rubbish in my life. Write this man off at your peril. Ridiculous. |
|
By:
agreed m8 :) Will never been another NH JOCKEY like MCCOY, we are so so lucky to live in his ERA, the man is a LEGEND.

Do you personally think he has slightly diminished since moving to Jonjo
Think he has tried to adapt his style of riding more to be more patient, and his judgement of pace on hold up horses I would say isnt as good as Ruby walsh. However in a finish he is the best, loved his ride from the front on Albertas Run. Just maybe he is best suited to the more honest battle hardened horses than the fragile hold up bridle horses. Just my opinion but am glad personally he is not on Arbor Supreme for the National. |

His record in ireland is dismal to say the least , ok he is retained by JP but how many outside rides does he get when available to be honest but im struggling to find the last winner he rode in ireland not for JP..... colbert station in leopardstown, cpt ceebee naas.............maybe he knows that only a few take part in races in ireland and why bother ....

hes on alot of sh...it in ireland like withe the biggest owner in jump racing ud expect a few ones that he could win on in big irish meets not his fault horses awful like how many favs has he been on last 3 days at fairy? the ans is zero.but the reason jp retains him says it all because he only wants the best and the fact ap has over 3000 winners riding muck at muck venues is a testament.it would be nice if at chelt aint fairy or punch festivals had ammunition like ruby has.like ruby is also a great jockey but look what he has nicholls and mullins top dogs all the time u know he rides alot more class horses than ap.both of them are great friends and respect each other ruby calls ap the best and visa versa
