What actually happened?
Remember the one at Soutwell where a runaway horse ploughed in a woman with a kid in a pushchair?

Are you one of the PC brigade that is slowly eroding life as we know it by constantly complaining about things that are nothing to with you. simply because you have nothing better to do in your sad miserable life.

Yes, it will take a racegoer death to ban blindfolds. HTH.

no.

oldgit , horse with blindfold still on went through the rails. If they dont ban them they should at least make the jockey take them off as soon as they are in the stalls. If the horse then goes mad it should be withdrawn.

Even from a horse welfare perspective its pretty shocking that a horse could get loose with a blindfold on and end up in a lake like at kempton that time.

Plastic rails have been great for racing but now that they are used its more important that blind horses dont got loose. There was also Fayr Jag killed last year when he ran into the stalls blindfolded.
