Backed the first at 4 and the second at 14.5, laid the second off for a small profit, but FFS, when they go that low IR you can't help but think someone up above is really having a good laugh at my expense at the moment. I could have taken 1, but 2 in 1 day...gut wrenching.

Why don't you do what the pro's do and always put in a trade at 1.23?

Sometimes things just go against you. It's the hardest game in the world sometimes. Haven't had a particular great past few months myself.

I sometimes do place a speculative lay at around 1.7, but didn't today...just figured I would take a punt. As I said, 1 in a day is bearable, 2 a f@cking liberty (especially as the 2nd selection would have netted me an awesome amount).

I always put in lay at 1.02 + 1.12 + 1.23.
You would be amazed how low horses trade in running - Ireland is particularly vulnerable to punters. Caught loads at 1.12 and if you can get a 1.02 beat - happens about 3/4 times per week depending on volume. Perfect today - Competitive racing for poor quality horses racing on bad ground. Some will be wide margin winners but there will be a fair few beaten at very short prices. 6 meetings on ATR nightmare scenario for in running punters - Today is a layers day!!! I would anticipate 3/4 very short ones beat today Bring it on!!! |
