Assuming your not fishing.
Make sure you have a pair of boots or wellies in the car for when you are trying to get back out.The place can be a bit naughty to get out of when it's wet.
As for having a bet,do what most of the regular Yorkshire punters do nowadays & follow certain men in after they've got there money on.It's better backing an even money tryer than a 10/1 that isn't off. There'll be a gentleman there with a camel coat on,grey hair & a flat cat or his mate a shorter rotund bloke with a red face. They are easy to spot in the betting ring, everyone is watching them.Just back what they back.
As for jocks, the Greenalls, the Dawsons Guy Brewer,Mark Walford on the male side whilst Jackie Coward & Joanne Mason are both very useful on the female side.
I would think a fair tip for tomorrow there could be to look for the horses with the biggest feet, they won't sink in as far.

Mick
If you are fit enough that you don't have to keep going back to the car for a sit down or taking your own food in then my advice would be,leave the car outside(there's plenty of room withing half a mile)& walk in.You'll still have to pay but I think it will be a quicker getting away doing that than trying to get off the field.
Enjoy the day.

Mick
I've just thought
If you go onto the Yorkshire point to point site there's a bloke(Will Milburn) on there does a preview of every meeting.
Click on his name on the left hand side & it will bring up his preview for todays meeting under the Bedale meeting.Just scrool down.
A one for you to look at today(although it will be short) is Natureofthe beast in the second race.
One which I wouldn't be so keen on backing today if the ground is very soft is Sea Senor. This is a very good horse but I've a feeling it may want firmer ground.
