a sad state of affairs. And the whole nonsense should be anathema to serious punters.
Bangor and Stratford are considerably more alluring. I 've had a lovely time every day I've been there.

is it true that the arabs are too lazy to carry anything heavier than money, and the banglies that do everything have their passports taken from them and are kept imprisoned in hovels miles out of town?

A city built on sand in every way , agree with original post , Stratford and Bangor far more interesting , they will still be here long after the slave built abomination is consumed by the desert.

britain unilaterally abolished slavery when no-one else was interested. thousands of british sailors died trying to stamp it out.

the 'preventive squadron' was set up to do this (200 years ago). no african or arab country has abolished it even NOW.

you are an idiotic cultural relativist info, and i might come down there and give you a whack if you don't stop it.

Seriously guys, Dubai is a great place for a holiday or to live. Like in any country with a different culture you should live within your hosts rules and beliefs. Come and visit and find out for yourself.

I don't understand how you can call Dubai a dump but we are all entitled to our own opinions.
By:

When: 27 Mar 10 13:51
I'd say a dump is a flash place where everything is overpriced and there's nothing much to do except show off. but everyone's entitled to opinion.

If only all those who have come to experience the delights of Britain harboured a similar attitude.

There appears to be an unequal equation here.
