i detest jump racing in heavy ground.. its cruel..the jockeys have no regard for the horses..they just ride them into the ground..in that race power the so called jockey on roberto goldback was lashing 2 tons of crap out of the animal even tho he was totally exhausted..it fell on it head at the last it didnt have strength to jump..how the RSPCA let this go on in this day and age is beyond me.its scandelous.if ground is heavy it should be illegal to race over jumps.. flat racing is fine..horses will just stop to a walk..but jumps is wretched.

Vernon - who is forcing you to watch? Dont tune in next time a horse race is run on heavy ground.

it's better then racing them on firm ground.

Personally think that all of those jockeys are experienced enough and should know better not to go at such a stupid pace. It looked like they had all ran 4 miles come the end.

Reminds me of the National meeting a few years ago, Red Marauder et al, except sunny day.

BRAVE INCA its forced on us tho...i try not to watch when i can see very tired animals are being flogged to within inches of their lives..but sometimes i happen to see one by mistake..ireland seem to have more than england..and the stewards in ireland mayb dont punish their jockeys for misuse of the whip so much/ i dunno..but that wasnt acceptable mate..no way no how...

BRAVE INCA.totally disagree..and as u can see by the thread that im not alone! that race was run at a ridiculous pace in those conditions..the jockeys are either incredibly thick or incredibly cruel to not realise that! and to compound their unprofesional lack of pace in the conditions..they then proceed to beat half to death dumb animals.. animals to whom they owe their wretched existence! at least they could pull the animals up once they can no longer walk never mind run n jump! so no i dont agree with u and nor do 99 per cent of right minded people ok!
