I see that the Haydock clerk of the course was watering with glee on Tuesday. Presumably this was to get the ground nice and used to the deluge that started on Wednesday.

He should get a pay rise.
And a knighthood.

He was just on the telly.
He thinks they may decide to wait a bit longer before watering before it’s starts raining hard next time.

What have these people got against Summer going? Flat racing is a summer sport.

Racing regularly gets spoiled by over watering.
