If Godolphin decide to run only the 1 out of Coroebus/Native Trail, there will be
2 Plcs up for grabs in this.Hannon said he is leaning towards running Lusail in this and
I've backed him E/W @40/1 with a few firms and had a small bet here in the Win Mkt,
in the event he does make the gig.
Ran a  decent race in the 2000G after being slowly away and finished the race like he did
get the trip. Was just behind Eydon & Berkshire Shadow that day and I think he'll
overturn that form with those 2.They are much shorter with the books aswell.
Also Eydon  had a knock before the Derby.Lusail did win the Gymcrack  last year &
ran a fair race when rnr/up in the Greenham. Can see him putting up a good performance,
if he shows, although this should be Godolphin's race for the taking.

Hopeing he goes in this,he is in the Jersey & Commonwealth Cup aswell.
According to Hannon this is the race he's more likely to run in.Plans
can easily change though.

Coroebus is rightly the fav nevertheless he needs to cement his Newmarket win to prove his 2000G win over Native Trail was not due to ground bias ie he was running on the far side (quicker) with Native Trail on the near side. But, I think he'll win convincingly and possibly set up a duel against Baaeed in the future.

If you take out Coroebus, it is a very open race. My Prospero, and Angel Bleu next in according to the official handicap mark but 4 or 5 more within a pound or two of those. I prefer the ones that are progressing which brings in Maljoom and My Prospero. A few place only bets seem to be the best strategy with a big field for this race. Getting trapped wide or getting boxed in is easy on the round mile at Ascot so it could be a surprise result.

Yep. Really unlucky Penzance.
Grab the rail on the home stretch and could have collected

You could say Maljoom was unlucky too.
Would like to see him against Baaeed but I doubt we see that at Goodwood

the SJP certainly raised more questions than answers to the 3yo miler pecking order. I suspect that Coroebus is better than he looked yesterday but I would back Native Trail to beat him. Will we see a meaningful clash between 3 and 4yos before the Sussex Stakes?

Appleby said Eclipse next for Native Trail

A lot of horses flattered by the slow pace in my opinion. The true superiority of Coroebus was masked by it.

Totally agree figgis. He was a drifter though so a race to be sceptical about. I’d say he was way below Newmarket, so you’d hope he will be better next time
