He'll be hoping the rain turns up as well! Pretty dry just now.
Competitive as ever at this stage, Datsalrightgino is the one interesting me at a price just now.

Big ask for 5yos but it is a handicap so Adagio and JPR One are my fancies. Lucky One is a mile clear on RPR but might not get in from No 26 although 24 is the safety limit.

Not that big an ask Sageform,5 yr olds have won 6 of the 12 runnings.
Not a criticism, the age stats for this race are very strong,Intriguing in its own right.
12/12 age 5 or 6 5/12 won lto 9/12 ran within 65 days 6/12 ran at newbury 5/12 fav/jt fav 7/12 top 3 betting 10/12 rated 134 or above 11/12 min 2 runs current season 8/12 won current season
(The Stats Don't Lie)
Just the 16 left at 5 day stage, top OR 147,last years winner.
Still giving out last years ground as gd/sft,the winning time was 3.48 secs outside standard.
Perhaps trainers have cottoned on to this course, and their going reports, not before time.
Virtually impossible to guess what ground these horses will be running on,even on the day.
The winners in there somewhere.

richest hurdle race in GB .....and a maximum of 16 runners.......look at the size of the handicap hurdle race on Sunday at Leopardstown(the old Sweeps Hurdle ?).......I have no idea what is going on with owners and trainers in this country.

I,m a little stunned that they aren't running metier . A horse in grand form , timing wise from his last race was great and a big galloping track plenty of grass cover etc and its February not July ! . Of course he could be flat as a pancake after his win lto and not recovered his fizz for this , but , if he was fine and not running because the going isn't ideal , well , Blow me old boy ! Maybe the forfeit speaks volumes regarding the other stable string whom is very well thought of boothill, having read some of Harrys comments he speaks very highly of the horse . Best of luck , I think i,ll go with the boot .

The tongue tie is because they cant figure out why the horse has under-performed since his taunton win .If they could get him to make a noise in training then surely he would already have had wind surgery during his hiatus . The answer is (imo of course )he didnt have enough jumping experience and he wants left-handed as demonstrated in chase debut. The money has come for him from 20-1 into 8-1 ish . Hes going left-handed , hes been blooded now and i,d be confident this is his day .

"Richest handicap hurdle in europe" .... Does that tell the whole story?
Zarkander back in 2012 picked up £86,848 for the winners purse.
The extra £400 for todays winner, some 10 years later, not sure the sponsors are going overboard here.
Royaume Uni looked a standout at 5 day decs, early prices looked to under-estimate his chance.
Yard do like this race,no surprise if he,s been laid out for this. Not disgraced in his short career over jumps, also got decent flat form against some really good handicappers.Let loose couple times on the AW this time last season, certainly looked to have a decent turn of foot against lesser opposition.
Stuck up by a few tipsters, missed the boat on him once final decs were known.
Just the one hurdle race before off time, over an extended distance, not much of a clue for later.
Each to their own, unless things change at this track and others,I have zero interest in getting involved.
