I pencilled in Chiefofchiefs for this after his first run of the season at Doncaster, and after excellent runs in the Wokingham and Stewards Cup he looks a cracking e/w bet at 25/1+.
Only caveat is the form of the stable which is pretty dire, so hoping that improves during the course of the week.
Sunshine and showers forecast so the going should be good'ish and who knows whether the draw will be a major factor - looking at the last 10 years or so the Ayr Gold Cup seems less draw dependent than most big field sprints.

Nice stab Facts. He is on my mates shortlist along with Snazzy Jazzy. My own suggestion is for Just Frank. Bang in form and improving. May not be bothered about the going either. But this is a race for £2 and little more with draw, going, and numerous plots and preparations coming to the fore.

Think high numbers will hold the call now here, with mr wagyu ( drawn 16 ) and just frank ( drawn 18 ) blazing the trail, hope the forecast rain materializes from tomorrow and have gone for BIELSA at 16-1 6 places and 12-1 7 places. Think this will shorten considerably on the day and forecast it going off 11-2 favourite..
Could anyone enlighten me as what standard of jockey-ship does Billy Garrity bring to the saddle.
Would he be anywhere near the quality that one Luke Morris brings...Have not heard much ado about Billy.

sorry, didnt realise didnt post me comment, was stating the rfo trends had just frank as the selection, this was before draw and the draw is a positive ( if looking at 10 yr trends )
in this race i will be very interested in francescas paddock walk .
To be fair, thought it had zero chance with the draw bias and when it was on its jack jones on the rail
