Anyone know why? You would think it would have been ideal, and in a poor year he had a good chance of at least placing. He was a general 12/1. Assuming he is not injured a strange decision.
It does seem a little strange, especially given he's got Starman for the Diamond Jubilee and CFTD is still in it rather than the KS.
CFTD also entered in July Cup, gonna be a hard horse to win with off its current mark, as you say could have run into a place in a substandard KS, but maybe unlikely to get the pace it needs in lesser graded company most of the time.
Has certainly looked to have upped its game though, can't believe there wasn't at least an enquiry at HQ, very unlucky not to win.

Two weeks on from my post confirmed on tonight's At The Races preview that he doesn't run at Ascot. Pretty sure they said he was injured. If that is true when was he injured?

Makes sense I suppose, plenty of races for him later in the season if it's only a minor issue - Stewards Cup perhaps, Summerghand won it off 108 last year with a very similar running style.
