I was all over Relegate at big prices for the Pertemps with the opinion that she had to be well in off 137. She's obviously had her issues since winning the bumper way back when.
Going novice hurdling she simply could not jump but in the Grade 1 at the Dublin racing festival last season you could still see the engine there as she made a deal of ground late on.
Earlier this year she was a typical Pertemps qualifier eyecatcher at Punchestown staying on well but she notably was a lot better at her hurdles. At the festival they were just too careful with her and had her too far back before making up a lot of ground but in truth she was not given a chance.
She had a nice school round the other day where the eyes wouldn't have been on her with no right to win the race which would have hopefully set her right for Saturday.
I think she must be well handicap, am convinced she is a strong stayer and surely the long gruelling straight at Haydock could not be more ideal. I think 9-10/1 is fair, she was fav. for the pertemps itself and I think the money will come for her near the off.
I'd hope she could take this and even maybe be an outsider that could run well even in the Stayers itself in due course.
Totally agree with you. I was on at big prices as well for the Pertemps. My initial reaction when I saw her declared for Sat was will she be trying? Do they want to protect the handicap mark for Cheltenham but she hasn't had any decent prize money for a while and with all the training fees and the great pot at Haydock, I think she will be trying to win. Robbie Power is a great booking and I will be lumping on now as well.

Don't normally bet ante-post in handicaps but Unibet's 33/1 for Third Wind in the Pertemps was too big to pass up. Had already backed him before Haydock but have had a top-up as price has not changed. First of the Brits when finishing fourth to SDB in this year's race.

Robbie Power reported to the stewards that she never went a yard......tell us something we don't know.
It's the worst sort of defeat from my point of view, because it was too bad to be true it means I'll be going in again as the well handicapped angle still stands for me
