I was 2nd in the last ever comp in 2014.

And I won a £10k prize in 2004.

I'm hopeful of more and that lots of entries are made. 

There used to be quite a chat on here about the comp. 

And the regulars were livid when it was stopped.

I can't wait. Reviving something joyful from my past.  All that research and tinkering to look forward to.  That marvelous sense of hope before the off.

REM, I'm hoping for lots of entries so they keep it going.

Who is going to include Altior now? I suppose he might still win the Champion Chase as that is a very poor race.

FOYLES, I got 7 grand for 2nd place.

If Taghrooda had got 2nd in the Arc, instead of 3rd, I'd have got the £41k first prize.

They had practically killed the comp by then.  The biggest flat prize I ever saw was a couple of hundred grand, with over half a million for the NH at it's peak.

I was about to say the same thing. I almost gave up trying to get on there yesterday until I remembered I had money on deposit. It then took 8 minutes to get a reply to a question on their help bubble.

I had 7 lists pending since last night and still pending 18 hours later.....Just about to give up.

I did 40. I have the Ladbrokes winner in 4. Apart from anything else, it's great to see the competition back. I won £6,880 in its former guise some years ago.

Everyone with Buveur D'air might end up with 0 points on a horse that looked a banker for at least a few.

Buveur D'Air was very very painful yesterday.

Buveur d'air got 1.1 points. I thought it was just points for being placed in the bonus races? I guess I should read the rules.

1.1 I am still trying to work that one out so I spoke to a Tote person who said you don't even get 1 for second.

All us shroodies who thought Buveur D'Air was a laughably easy 25 points to start with are not facked.

Are now facked even.

Still got 4 lists in the top 100 and The Tingle Creek fav next Saturday.

12 noon deadline,before comp started.

That is hard luck but those are the rules.

I also have Defi du Seuil but I don't think he is any value on Saturday against Politologue. It is actually 100 yards short of 2 miles.

I need Defi to keep my Dream Alive.

I certainly need him after Buveur and Reserve Tank bombed last week but is he a 13/8 shot against more experienced rivals over 1mile 7.5 furlongs? I know Sandown is a stayers track but if Politologue and/or Un de Sceaux get into a jumping rhythm, they will take some catching. Plenty of other opposition as well.

I did a dozen lists targeted at just the December prize.  £10k is a lot of money!
Buveur was in the the Christmas hurdle, and I had planned out the big races for the month and they are doing ok so far.  I need Defi today.

Exactly the same TEN2FOLLOWER.   Got 83.9 pts in Dec so far, with lots lined up for big races  later this month.  Think everyone has Defi today.   Got Lost aand Cyrname in King George and also a couple in Welsh national for bonus and also potential big price tote points,

Good old Defi keeps the dream alive …I have two lists in the top 100 I am hoping Laurina earns me an easy 25 points when she runs.

I have Slate House today but won't be many points. I am surprised they are not going back to Cheltenham.

AD,  Top 100 is brilliant.  But don't forget the points from 30th November don't count for the December prize.

Not for me.
Not really a fan of the horse, but he won well. 

Up to the dizzy height of 1676th after Slate House, Clan Des Obeaux, Cyrname and Thyme Hill.

Eldorado Allen is my CH horse but lack of a run caught him out up the Sandown hill yesterday. He has a very long way to go for the top class but the County Hurdle is realistic.

Lots of open looking races ahead.

My hopes and dreams ended after Leopardstown.

I did have to lists in the Top 60 Now I am toast.

Re Substitutions.. Do you get the new horse's total point score for the whole season or just the points it gets after the substitution date?

I am also dead now with Cyrname out for the season to join Buveur D'air and Elegant Escape bombing out yesterday. I need Thyme Hill, Defi du Seuil, Slate Hill and Eldorado Allen to all win at Group 1 and still probably not enough.

Transfer window open now..only get new horse's points scored after substitution date BUT you keep the score of the horse you substituted out. Have I read that right?? So the team I mentioned in relative contention for prize money with 4 donkeys has Native river in it. Native river has scored 44.1 points but is out for the rest of the season so I might as well sub him if I keep his points and he can't score any more??

Made a good substitution..brought in Epatante for Buveur D'air..plus another grade 1 today with Honeysuckle..stormed up the Leaderboard into 59th and into the prizemoney (currently stand to win £25.42)
