Sinjaari looks a fantastic bet to me here at 6/1 (I actually took 9/1 antepost).
Very progressive earlier imn the season and ran the potentially top class Headman close in the valuable London Gold Cup when a heavily backed favourite (cost me a fortune that day
)and then had absolutley no chance at Royal Ascot in the King George V H'Cap when he was drawn in the carpark (22/22) and the jockey made far too much use of him to try to negate that.
Even so he was still bang there 2f out but his earliier efforts and the extra 2f of that race menat he had nothing left.
Back to 10f on nice ground and with the in form P J McDonald up he is surely the one to beat and would be clear favourite imo but for that 8th place at Ascot. Can see him going off closer to 3/1.

Very tricky opener day 3.
Johnston has a fine record in recent runnings. Sinjaari looked mighty unlucky at newbury,definite player on that form. Almania would be the tentative choice.Typical Stoute horse that has not been overburdened in his short career,the drop back in trip and that stiff finnish could see him in a better light. GL ALL |
