Japan ran a very good race at Epsom so soon after the Dante. And, I believe he'd beat AVD in the Irish Derby, if he runs which he'd if AVD does not; he was also Epsom market leader until his setback.
I think AVD will have an excellent chance of a 2nd Derby win without Japan in the field; Sir Dragonet is more likely to run there too, but I think Broome (needs softer and further) will only run, if Madhmoon runs. I'm glad Japan runs here as this is his for the taking, if Epsom has not taken the shine off him; 9/4 from 5/1, but will be shorter on the day, I believe. |

Was looking to cash out 11/2 Dragonet yesterday but suspended. Would have been for a slight loss but that still better than losing everything
Still suspended now but nothing going to change there until settled a loser Shucks ![]() |

Japan is the one on the day; Bangkok at 10/1 is value if a confirmed runner, and one can discount his lacklustre performance at Epsom where he was on 9/1. But, will he run though?
Private Secretary and Pondus need to improve at least a stone to beat Japan, all things being equal. |

Moore screwed up on Fleeting in the Ribblesdale, but I hope he delivers on Japan (5/1 ante) today; one out of two is almost acceptable on two hotpots with credentials to boot.

Bungle you keep backing Ryan Moore`s mounts and then criticise him when beaten.Helmet.

I hope Japan goes for the Arc. He's not a Derby winner (unless AVD defects in the Irish); stays 12f well, and has the class esp if Enable is not progressing.

aob reckons he is thier best colt.

I'd agree. If AVD defects from the Irish Derby Japan will deputise, and no Arc. Otherwise King George, and probably the race; he's too good for The Leger, I think.
