Hermosa against Qabala; surprise winner of the English equivalent against the perceived "unlucky" fav respectively; 5/2 vs 11/4, but the former is as short as 6/4 with one bookie. What about Just Wonderful (6/1), and 3rd fav for that race? Could she (on her day) spoil the party for these two? She's the form.
Oh, must not forget Pretty Pollyanna (10/1) too the one time fav for that same race, and Dettori rides; a big race double for Dettori (TDH) perhaps.
I can imagine,...you backed her. I'd back her too if I'd done the same until she loses. But, she's been a boogie horse for me eg backed her for the Oaks, and AOB played merry-go-round with me. Hope she wins for you. I've done Qabala here, and Coronation Stakes some time ago. We'll see come sunday...

My dislike for backing fillies from two to three years old is well documented but one still has to try and this afternoon the clock suggests a small each way on East which I will duly undertake.
However, as in daily life the female of the species are not that reliable where timekeeping is involved.
That said I am a huge fan of females and therefore make allowances and if you find a good one they are diamonds, Triptych, Dahlia, Pebbles, Enable, Zarkava, etc etc spring to mind. I am not sure such a diamond exists in todays race.

Visually you had to be impressed. She beat the Newmarket also rans more comprehensively this time. If she has improved by as much as the difference between the two races suggests then Foxtrot Liv and Dean Street Doll have also made big leaps, which is possible. The time of the race, however, doesn't back this up and points to her improving a couple of pounds over Newmarket and the other fancied runners performing terribly. Obviously a fully deserved winner but personally I think she's going to be overrated on that. She's no Winter yet and certainly no Minding.

Qabala scoped abnormally post race. Were there not similar instances with Sizing John and at least one other hprse/s whose name/s I cannot remember at the moment? Let's hope we see Qabala at Ascot, but no Fairyland and Just Wonderful as both will be dropped in trip, according to AOB.
Hermosa has improved beyond recognition this season; next race the French Oaks, according to AOB.
