persian king strong and worthy fav, form franked by magna grecia and easy winner of his prep over c & d, the most likely winner but with the going an unknown and at short odds own i am taking him on anador and shaman ,anador comfortably beat persian king when both made their debuts winning by 2l and landed a group 3 when stepped up in class easily ,finished the season with a close 3rd at the arc meeting going a concern but same for the fav. shaman seems to have progressed winning his last 3 races one on heavy . at the prices i would rather be with these 2 than the favorite..........................

I still think Persian King is overrated on what I've seen up to now but find it impossible to take him on with what looks no better than a field of well bred handicappers. Tempted to lay him hoping one of the others improves but if they don't he should win this comfortably. I think his price is about right so no bet. Good luck with taking him on.
