Thought he would have had a great chance in the Guineas but I very much doubt he will run as Prendegast hardly ever brings horses over. I'm on at an average of 30's but will now look to lay it off once the market reopens at anything under 20/1.
As for the Derby he's 50/1 just to run it for me - sorry. |

obviously a lot of" ifs ,buts and maybees " as to where madhmoon will go , he is in the english and irish gns and entered for the derby , if he misses the english version and goes irish then he wont go to epsom as there is not enough time between them . with john oxx and k.prendergast now , if john oxx has a good un he has no problems sending one over to go for the best races ,not that long ago sea the stars came over and history shows how he turned out , a lot of guesswork required by us punters and it could go pearshaped but the price is factored in .as said a win in the guineas or a running on placed effort and his price nosedives .put it this way broome is 2nd or 3rd fav and madhmoon is around 25s, do the maths .
on breeding he has a chance of getting 12f on good going , new approach, galileo etc in the bloodline . |

he is around 15s uncle if ya getting out ! i am staying in and if i can get some 20s plus i will have some more for the guineas.

"Prendergast hardly ever brings horses over" - This may be true but when did he last have one good enough, particularly for Hamdan. And remember this is Shadwell where the trainers often aren't free to make the decisions. Personally I think he will run in the Guineas to make the Derby a possibility. In any event the next month may show that Hamdan has one or possibly two better Derby prospects, and one of them is in Ireland.

have i got the prendergast and oxx merger thing right ?
|
|
By:
Yes, but never mind. You just had the wrong Prendergast.

Market is suggesting he will run, but after suffering a big antepost loss today with House Of Kings being a non runner at Sandown
I have laid off my stake at 14 for a nice free bet - better safe than sorry.I may back him again on the day if everything looks right and he is 10/1'ish. |

Drawn in stall 1 - nightmare imo.

Fancied him strongly but think that puts and end to his chances. Coffin box
|
|
By:
He's been heavily backed into 9 from 11 similarly Advertise and Skardu. Both of AOB's charges have drifted slightly.
|
|
By:
Madhmoon has been 7's and 13/2 all week. He is now freely available at 8's and 15/2. "He's been heavily backed into 9 from 11" is fluent boll ocks.

^^
Enstein, he finished at 9.6 in the old market and opened at 11 in the new one (here). Take a look..for enlightenment. |
|
By:
My odds are RP Bookmakers odds. My problem is with your "heavily backed". The horse has drifted since the draw, and has not shortened anywhere.
|
|
By:
This forum is supported by The Exchange, and Madhmoon was 11 (here), and now is 9 - a clear 2 point difference or near 20% shorter; the RP prices are bookies conducive, and not punters.

ignore him blackbarn

Impossible clueless

ok day of reckoning and all that ,all green on the race but obv would like magna or madhmoon to win for even nicer payout ,good luck all

Skardu, Magna Grecia, Ten Sovereigns, Madhmoon, Advertise and Royal Marine are all winners to name (in that order); Al Hilalee, Urban Icon and Set Pieces are losers.
The above is a consequence of Too Darn Hot as an absentee. |
|
By:
decent run by madhmoon worst of the draw stayed on well for 4th .
|
|
By:
Madhmoon ran well given his draw, and I'd like to see him take on Magna Grecia in the Irish 2000G. I'm not sure his stamina could hold up in the Derby.

Derby bound according to connections.

Impossible - "Derby bound according to connections"
Subject to performances by others over the next two weeks. Hth |
|
By:
I did not know that. I was merely quoting Tony O'Hehir of RP.
|
|
By:
Thanks Impossible. I know that, you were just passing off an apparently well-informed comment, without attribution, which was merely something you had read in the racing press.

"Subject to performances by others over the next two weeks. Hth"
Rakan tomorrow at Leopardstown. |

seems hes derby bound!!

about 14s now and all systems go !

can't see this one lasting home. looked to have bundles of finishing pace as a two year old.
his sire failed to last home over the distance in the derby and famously there was this dosage debate because he was DD, or was it a CC, I can't recall. anyway his dam never won over further than six furlongs, although she was tried at longer trips. she finished 9th of 10 the only time she was tried at a mile and a half. well good luck guys but this feels like a non-stayer to me. |
|
By:
tbh honest that was my main worry but i have greened and still have a decent free bet so not too concerned on that score .
|
|
By:
the breeding might suggest he maybe will not stay but visually in guineas he looked like a stayer..but..1m4 at epsom is a big diff to 1m in newmarket.lets hope he runs for us to see!!

Foyles I put this horse up before it ever ran was told it was catching pigeons at home
Was laughing when the trainer stated he not done much with it Al pm u who gave me the horse was a somewhat unusual soarse but a very good one ![]() |
