Federici ran very well last year. IF if runs and IF they can restrain it a little more this year it could go close carrying no weight 33/1 ew first 4 today.

Ultra gold being campaigned with the National the target this year according to Tizzard stable tour so prob doesn't want to win this week , but with his record round these fences and 4/5 places up for grabs 20/1 looks more than fair i thought.

Had some 16/1 Blaklion. The money's come for it, 6/1 now but heavy rain forecast leading up to Saturday and last time I watched him at Aintree, he was almost at a standstill on the run-in. A snail would have overtaken him. Totally exhausted
Was looking for reasonable ground but can still lay off stake for free bet now |

Just the 18 declared.........Theatre Territory notable absentee
![]() Intriguing entries from over the water....classy pair from Elliot yard stand their ground. A proper handicap, with 4 getting in on the baesment mark of 10-00 stone. Currently given as "soft",will take some getting if thats accurate. Maybe some day a bright spark might argue this could be a qualifier for April ? Still a unique test, not withstanding changes,am I alone in thinking they are used too little? |

Missed Approach is my selection in the end. Positive remarks by trainer and trip and ground not a problem.

Vieux Lion Rouge becoming a legend of an enigma.
After twice not staying the GN distance , he was out with the washing as Bechers going nowhere in last. His jockey never gave up and he caught them all bar one. |

Missed Approach lost about 20 lengths at the start and was beaten about the same distance in the end in finishing sixth. One to keep in mind for a nice handicap later in the season.
