Aimed at this race last year but had a niggle just before the race and was withdrawn. He's been given a light campaign this year with this as the aim given a preference for good ground. He ran a cracker after a 244 day break when taking it up at the last in the Edinburgh national over 4m and would almost certainly have won by 2l+ when jinking at the last having been given a slap and unseating the jockey. Looking at Missed approach in third (would have been c11l (giving 11lb) behind Looking Well if he hadn't unseated), given his exploits at Cheltenham he would be in the Ayr race with a mark of 148. Adding that the Mussleburgh ground was softer than ideal for Looking Well he comes into the race with an interesting profile. I'm on at 25s to try and break this year's duck in the nationals.... The Young Master and Silsol are the dangers imo...
