5 day stage and not one single British 2 year old considered good enough for an entry in either race

Remarkable..

With uncertain running plan for some of AOB's charges I'd take a chance with Alpha Centauri who has the best form so far, in my opinion. Magical won at 11/1 despite the outsider of AOB's 3 runners in the Debutante; if the ground is soft I think September might not run as her best form has been on good ground or better.

The National Stakes does look at the mercy of Gustav Klimt after the defection of Expert Eye unless Beckford and/or Brother Bear can find a bit of improvement in them.

National stakes, fav much too short at 1/2 for what he's achieved. Verbal dexterity at 10/1 or O'brien outsiders aren't a million miles away on form.

Moyglare looks even more competitive - O'brien very strong hand once again. Chance taken on Chiara Luna at 25/1. Was a weak maiden she won but for Weld to make positive comments and to bring her here on her second start show's she must be of high class.

Gustav Klimt is way too short on what he's done, another chance and value for Beckford perhaps but Brother Bear could surprise given his ideal ground.

The Moyglare: Interesting jockey bookings ie Moore on Clemmie (2nd fav); Donnacha on Magical (fav); Heffernn on September. But I'd take a punt with Alpha Centauri - best form and fresh, I believe.

A very good race to watch and clues aplenty for next year's 1000G.
