No Winter or Rhododendron but Roly Poly from the AOB's stable is heading the market at 5/2; next best is Sea Of Grace at 7/2; Wuheida at 5/1 is making her 1st appearance this season after a training setback.

I think if Wuheida is just 90% of her former self  - she won the Marcel Boussac - she'd have an excellent chance, I believe.

No French runner this year. I'll have to back the German instead

Must admit I know very little about the German runner but she ran in the French 1000G so highly thought of. This is not the best renewal either without Qemah, Alice Springs or Usherette with just 2 older fillies in contention.

The best filly is obviously Wuheida, winner of the Marcel Boussac last year beating Promise To Be True who's been retired. However, she might not be fully would up being her 1st race back after a long lay-off; she could be using this race a prep for the Nassau next month, her trainer seemed bullish about her chance though.

A weak renewal. The Boussac was a pretty moderate level for me and even if Wuheida is fit I reckon she'll need to improve. Sea Of Grace's form last time out in France is better but I'm not sure if she's now an improved filly or ran above herself that day, so I wouldn't be too confident of her repeating it. For me, just on her form this year Roly Poly is ahead of anything the others have achieved either this year or last. She's improved a few pounds with every run and what's most interesting to me is I still have her latest effort a few pounds short of her best run last year in the Cheveley Park. I think there's every chance she can hit that mark today and produce her best form of the year and I make her a good bet.

wd figgis, when he heard ryan moore would take it to the front, he had to play the race, interesting comment by Michael taborLaugh

Ta. Did Moore say he was going to lead? I didn't know that but I'm glad he did. When connections know they've got the fastest horse in the race I think more should be proactive in setting the pace, unless it's a headstrong horse of course. What did Tabor say? I switched over to the tennis.

Sorry, so Tabor played when he knew Moore's plan.

Well done Figgis - a confident selection. I had no opinion on the race but probably would have opposed the fav had I been able to bet at the prices before the race.
